Inspired by Marcel Duchamp’s famous pun, “Cure d’Azote* sur la Côte d’Azur”, South Art aims to be at the crossroads of emerging creation. It seeks to be the place that one comes to “to detox”, for a breath of fresh air, away from the trends of the cities and the compartmentalization of contemporary art. Championing the modernity of the Côte d’Azur’s cultural heritage, South Art strives to create and exhibit experimental works that merge disciplines and surprise the viewer and that contain resistance and humour.

Ephemeral works that last only for the duration of the exhibition, projects that will never see the light of day, live works and/or variants... Through the works of Dominique Angel  and Henri Olivier, the public is invited to consider contemporary sculpture not as a current realization but as a real actualization.
